ICTEV Conference
Category: Conferences, Social bookmarksAnother good ICTEV Conference at Melbourne Grammar School. I like the location of this conference as well as the easy layout. It’s always possible to come away with something useful to apply to the classroom.
I presented a workshop session this morning introducing Bloglines and Del.icio.us as research support tools. I got to use these tool as soon as I got home in responding to a request for resources on the controversial Bill Henson photography exhibition. It took very little time to organise these links:
Del.icio.us – Bill Henson,
Bloglines -ABC, Bill Henson and Bloglines – Google News, Bill Henson
True to the nature of Web2.0, these are collaborative tools that are create a research communities. For instance my personal Bloglines account can be a jumping off point for those with interests similar to mine. Likewise with my Del.icio.us.
I caught John Pearce’s Web 2.0 which was a good run through of a number of useful tools. These will all be contained in his recently published Technology Toolkit which will be a useful text for the beginner in this field.
Meeting up with fellow study tour participants was also a bonus.
