Digital Storytelling – a leading example
Category: Collaborative projects, Conferences, digital literacy, podcasting, writingWes Fryer is one of the familiar US voices for ‘relevance, meaning and application’ in K-12 education. I subscribe to his Speed of Creativity podcasts through iTunes as they’re fine examples of good practice for teachers and are always engaging.
For some time now Wes been talking about Oklahoma Voices and the Storychasers project. The slideshare embedded below is his keynote presentation at the recent Webheads in Action Online Convergence where he walks through the process of digital story telling, associated professional development methods, tools, documentation and final product showing that it’s possible to replicate this project anywhere. Voice-over has been added to the slides making this a valuable personal learning resource to use with other teachers. Great work Wes.
WIAOC 2009 has been documented in pageflakes by Vance Stevens, founder of Webheads – a wonderful professional development resource.
